- Heatstroke
Heatstroke is a serious threat in summer. Dogs and cats can suffer from overheating due to high temperatures. To prevent it, make sure your pets have constant access to fresh water and a cool place to rest. Additionally, avoid exercise during the hottest parts of the day. If you notice your pet panting excessively, is lethargic, or shows signs of distress, seek veterinary attention immediately. - Parasite Prevention
The heat increases the activity of ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes, which can transmit serious diseases such as Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and heartworm.
